This collection is based on the 27’s. Artists that all lost their lives tragically at the premature age of 27. The series is taken from an original mixed media collage ( below ) based on a ripped billboard showing old music magazine covers, posters and flyers..I wanted the subject to reflect the old tatters left behind by the premature deaths of these highly talented, tragic artists who were freshly pasted on once but then left to blow away in the wind ..
